Claudio Montanari

Claudio Montanari was born in Rome, Italy on January 02, 1957, where he is practicing his profession. He frequented Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma under the guidance of Professors Avenali and Montanarini and continued his studies in Paris at Accademia des Beaux Arts.

The artworks of Claudio Montanari transmit sensation of solemnity, force, gravity and at the same time liberation, elation and vigor, just like something united to immensity, giving him way to a grandeur stage, with an unlimited horizon, and a scenography in which it seems to wait something impressive. The cosmic elements of Montanari reflects the universalism which connects to his aesthetics and also at the tradition of romanticism. A strange silence of solitude, a hidden desire, not passional but deep, fill our spirit with these exploding images that makes us feel unknown observatory and at the same time emerge in these flash of light.

-------Andrea de Liberis------

The big explosion.... the circle of light where each question will have a response. Other than spiral of lights on the canvass of Burri and Fontana to the tridimensional canvass of Montanari, strongly expressive and allusive on the esoteric trinity, in which translates in unity.

-------Prof. Alfredo Pasolino------

The creative versatility Claudio Montanari concretize through not only the elevated abstract manifestation of the cromatic declination but also through contextual elaboration of material factor. We approve a reelaborative capacity of principal experience expressive of stylistic view post avanguardia. The material togetherness alternates over the pittoric support makes precious from unexpected softness, in which solidify just like having dare to cristallize gestual intent of the artist. Reflessively, sculpture experience of Claudio Montanari seems to feel again and again the narrative necessity comparable to painting.
