Eponine Saint-Hillier

I am a French artist who was born in 1973 in a small town near Switzerland. As my mother is also an artist and my father is an Engineer, I am both skilled in science and Arts. I took lessons in Fine-arts and different workshops. I also attended ballet dancing and piano lessons at the school for the performing arts which enabled me throughout the past years to increase a great sensitiveness and an awareness of everything surrounding me. I have traveled a lot, always with my paintings, particularly in Polynesia( Gauguin's home harbor ) where I have lived for two years.

My painting is expressionist, vivid and colored. New York's art of the 80's fills me with emotions, especially the paintings of Jean Michel Basquiat and street art in general but I am also moved by many other artists known or not.
My painting is a deep emotion I can feel throughout many different things such as music, the reading of a book I particularly enjoyed, a report on TV, a person in the street, a smell...my work is tinged with strong feelings.
I have been part of several art exhibitions in France in hotels, at the "Supermarchés de l'art contemporain" in Toulon and Albertville but also in the lounge art gallery in Paris.
