Thisbe Arreaza

Thisbe was born in Caracas, Venezuela. She has more than 40 years of experience as an artist. Initially, she studied Art and Plastic Expression. She has also participated in important workshops lead by well recognized Latin-American artists such as: Victor Valero, Roberto Gonzalez, Luis Guevara Moreno, Pedro Centeno, Edgar Sanchez, Oswaldo Subero, Regulo Perez, etc…

Thisbe has been involved in some other interesting programs in the area of engravery, serigraphy and papyrus; conducted by national or even international museums. Moreover, she developed other artistic techniques such as sculpture, ceramics, masks, Raku, enamel and glass fusion.
She dedicated more than 25 years to ample and varied efforts teaching art and creativity to children. She harvested many student’s talents helping them attain international awards such as the Art International Children in Japan, as well as participate in well renowned expositions such as the one held in Miami in honor of the Venezuelan painter Armando Reveron.

Along her professional career she has been part of numerous individual or collective exhibitions at local and international galleries and museums (i.e. Asociación al Estimulo de las Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Ara Gallery Miami, Universidad Simon Bolivar, Museo de la Rinconada, Escuela de Artes Plasticas in Venezuela). She is a member of recognized Hispanic Art Associations (i.e. AVAP - Asociación Venezolana de Artistas Plásticas, Asociación Venezolana de Acuarela, Círculo de Dibujo and Acuarelistas Hispanoamericanos).
