Before he even touched a brush and paint, Michel Harrouch was always attracted by all the natural colors offered to his eyes in his younger years where he found them: all the exotic fruits, vegetables and numerous spices ...Then Walt Disney came into his world with the multicolor comic books and cartoons as well as films in the smashing specter of colors.
Followed the discovery of poetry through verses in the Bible which took shape in his mind as scenes he could not help describing first as poems and using them as an architect his plans. Michel started painting but with his experience of acting and directing plays...so did he with his illustrations of biblical, mystical and kabalistic interpretations or commentaries of Hebrew verses by placing all the necessary scenes of his projects to be painted.
All became even obvious that he was devoting his passion to the beautiful calligraphic shapes of the Hebrew Alphabet and all their significance in the understanding of Wisdom and knowledge. Michel seems to have an unquenchable thirst for Torah learning and strong desire to get closer to Hashem(God).
