Rigo

Rigoberto Garcia Linares was born in Cuba in 1947. He first began to explore and develop his talent and love for art in Spain where he lived for some time. In 1965 he moved to Miami, Florida.

This self taught artist reflects his intense recollection of his memories through his sculptures. His first steps in the art of sculpting was under the guidance of his long time friend Cuban master sculptor, Tony Lopez. He has also taken part in workshops
given by sculptor Freda C Tschumy and painter Felix de Cossio.

His work reveals the artist's interpretation of the human body and reflects strength and vitality with sensual flowing shapes.
